Michael has worked in mental health service delivery for more than 25 years. He trained as a psychiatric nurse at Lakeside Hospital, a large, now closed, psychiatric institution in Ballarat and has seen the delivery of mental health care transition from the early days to current models of care.
For the majority of his working life, Michael worked as a clinician and manager of mental health community teams and has been involved in setting up new programs for people with mental health issues. Michael volunteers for a soup van and a running club and has the simple aim of making life better for people who suffer mental illness.
Michael brings experience gained from previous executive positions in mental health services, new service set up and clinical service delivery.
Every year, we share the progress, stories and outcomes that shape Kindred Clubhouse. Our impact reports highlight the difference we make together in members’ lives, in our community and in the broader mental health space.
This energy was made for sharing.
By joining or donating, you’re supporting a safe, welcoming space where people living with mental illness can connect, thrive and belong.
